Services We Offer

General Dentistry

General dentistry comprises of the common proceedures related to oral health conditions.

Exams & Cleaning

Professional exams/cleanings are important for every member of your family – from young children to the elderly. Our trained dental professionals are accustomed to working with people of all ages, so we can treat your entire family.

Fillings

No matter what type of filling material you prefer, the procedure involved in getting a filling is the same. Your dentist begins by removing any decay present, then filling the tooth with filling material, and finally making certain that your bite is as natural as it was to begin with.

Sealants

Sealants are used primarily to smooth out the surfaces of the tooth, make the tooth easier to clean, and to guard against tooth decay in cavity-prone patients. Sealants normally last for several years, but it is necessary for your dentist to examine the sealant on a regular basis to check for wear or chipping.

Root Canals

A root canal procedure begins with your dentist removing the pulp and nerve of the tooth, then sealing it off. Although the procedure may sound painful, modern dentistry has provided us with several different alternatives with regard to conscious sedation and numbing the affected area. Thanks to present-day dental technology, root canals are no more uncomfortable for the patient than any other dental procedure.

Periodontal Care

Gum disease not only impacts your oral health, but it has also been connected with other serious maladies such as diabetes and heart disease.  At Modrall Dentistry, we recognize the importance of periodontal care for our patients.

Oral Cancer Screening

Patients with early stages of oral cancer often exhibit few if any symptoms. Fortunately, your dentist can use a variety of cutting-edge technological methods to examine patients for any early signs of oral cancer that may be present. Early detection is extremely important in fighting the disease, which is why oral cancer screenings are so important.

Conscious Sedation

Conscious sedation refers to sedation methods that are designed to relax the patient. Each of these techniques allow you to remain fully awake during your trip to the dentist, but feel much more relaxed and at ease.

Tooth Extraction

The fact is that almost anyone can be a candidate for a tooth extraction; it just depends on the situation. There are many different reasons why a patient may need to have a tooth pulled – severe decay, gum disease, or “crowded” teeth, just to name a few. Your dentist will only recommend extracting a tooth if it’s absolutely necessary. Tooth extraction could be necessary in younger or older patients.

Pediatric Dentistry

If your child is experiencing any type of dental problem, it’s obviously important that we address the issue as early as possible. But there are other reasons why pediatric dentistry is so important. Visiting the dentist may be intimidating for young children at first, which is why it’s vital that we make those early trips to the dentist as relaxing and pain-free as possible.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is the branch of dentistry that focuses on improving the appearance of your smile.

Smile Makeover

Getting a “smile makeover” may sound like a procedure that is simply an exercise in vanity, but nothing could be further from the truth. At Modrall Dentistry, we understand how important a nice smile can be, and how it can make a difference in people’s lives.

Teeth Whitening

One of the easiest and least expensive ways to improve the appearance of your smile is with teeth whitening products. Although there are a variety of over-the-counter products available, none of them are as effective as professional whitening products.

Porcelain Veneers

Although typically considered to be a cosmetic procedure, porcelain veneers are also an effective way to repair a variety of dental issues. These include discolored teeth, broken teeth, worn-down teeth, or teeth that either overlap one another or have large gaps in between.

Bonding

Dental bonding is an effective way to drastically improve the appearance of a patient’s smile, as well as repair some other problems, such as teeth that are misshaped or chipped. Dental bonding is one of many procedures that we are pleased to offer our patients.

Gum Contouring

The procedure involved in gum contouring is remarkably fast and easy. It involves use of a laser to change the shape of the gum and/or remove excess gum tissue. Use of this laser allows the gums to heal relatively quickly and greatly reduces any bleeding that may occur. Patients are often surprised by the fact that gum contouring is virtually pain-free.

Dental Implants

A dental implant consists of an artificial tooth “root” (usually made of titanium) that is implanted into the patient’s jaw, and a porcelain crown that is affixed to the top of the root. Implanting the root into the jaw of the patient requires oral surgery, so we refer our patients to experienced oral surgeons for that portion of the procedure.

Traditional Braces

Traditional braces are comprised of small pieces of metal/porcelain, each of which is glued to a tooth and connected by wires held in place by metal/porcelain brackets and tie wires or rubber bands. Over the course of many months, the patient’s teeth gradually shift into their new, straighter positions.

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing or replacing damaged or missing teeth. These procedures help improve oral health and function.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are often an excellent choice for people who are missing one or more teeth, who want to fix an unattractive smile, or people who have large gaps in between existing teeth.

Dentures

Partial dentures are made of artificial teeth connected to a frame that is held in place by existing natural teeth. Full dentures are comprised of a full set of teeth that are attached to a top and bottom plate. Modern day dentures are typically much more comfortable than dentures were years ago.

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns are dental appliances that entirely cover the surface of a tooth. Although crowns in one form or another have been used in dentistry for many decades, porcelain crowns have become increasingly popular with both dentists and patients over the past few years.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

The procedures involved in full mouth reconstruction vary greatly depending on the patient’s individual needs, desires, and oral health. Typically, the plan includes a combination of cosmetic and general dentistry procedures intended to resolve whatever dental problems are present and leave the patient with a much more attractive smile.
